Day 2

Perth & Fremantle Welcome Tour with Swan River Cruise

Let us show you the sights of our beautiful city of Perth to get your bearings and benefit from the informative commentary. It's a true welcome to Perth. This three and a half hour tour takes in most of the city's major attractions, takes you to South Perth across the Swan River, along Perth beaches and through Kings Park full of magnificent seasonal wildflowers. Day 3

Wildflower Discovery Tour

This morning, get picked up from your hotel and enjoy a full day exploring the magnificent wildflowers of Perth and the surrounding regional areas on your specialised wildflower tour.

You will travel to the best areas surrounding Perth to experience the remarkable wildflower phenomenon, visiting places such as the Darling Escarpment, Wireless Pak, Gingin and Toodyay.  The itinerary varies and is designed to help ensure you visit the areas with the most prolific wildflowers on the day. Profusion varies daily and is dependent on mother nature. 

Your experienced botanical guide will identify rare flowers and show you popular favourites such as everlastings, orchids, red & green kangaroo paw, banksia, bottle brush and of course Western Australia’s famous orange flowering Christmas trees. Stop for lunch close to the wildflowers and enjoy ample time to identify and photograph the flowers.

You will also be guided through Kings Park Botanic Garden. Perched high on the Mt Eliza scarp in the heart of Kings Park, this world-famous botanic facility is a sweeping 17 hectares of stunning garden displays, featuring 3,000 striking species from around the state.  Plantings are grouped by regions of the state or notable taxonomic groups, and some are purely for a spectacular display.

Day 4

Perth sightseeing

Perth is Western Australia's smiling capital city, cerulean skies, white sand beaches and turquoise waters make it a paradise for outdoor lovers, the city is vibrant chic and modern, galleries, festivals and performance venues are cultural must-sees, a wealth of bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs cater for those in search of dining and entertainment.

Enjoy a free day to explore the sights and surrounds of Perth. Maybe visit Rottnest Island and see the famous quokkas or visit the many shops and restaurants in the city. The choice is yours.

Day 5

 Indian Pacific (boarding and Kalgoorlie)

Your journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you pull away from the platform in Perth mid-morning. Settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon onboard, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.

Day 6

 Indian Pacific (Cook and The Nullarbor)

Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now a ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by a relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.

Day 7

 Indian Pacific (Adelaide and Broken Hill)

On arrival in elegant Adelaide, you have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights. This evening, you'll enjoy a stop at Broken Hill, Australia’s silver capital and home to a unique artistic community.

Day 8

 Indian Pacific (Blue Mountains and Sydney arrival)

Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley. Continue to Sydney station, where you will disembark and then be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
