Territory Wildlife Park & Berry Springs Nature Reserve

After breakfast, head off to the Territory Wildlife Park. Stroll beneath the surface in their walk-through aquarium and meet some of the Top Ends most amazing aquatic life. The experienced team love sharing their knowledge of the wildlife and the habitats in their care. By now, you may need to cool off so what better way to do this than to take a dip in the Berry Springs Waterhole before stopping off for some locally made mango ice-cream at Crazy Acre Mango Farm. On our way back to Darwin City Edge for the night, we will stop off for dinner at the Noonamah Tavern.

Day 3

Howards Springs Nature Park, Fogg Dam and Croc Cruise

Our first stop today is at Howard Springs Nature Park with its diverse habitats including monsoon forests and extensive woodlands, providing valuable wildlife habitat. Have a wander along the walking tracks and take in the beauty of nature that is surrounding you. Leaving the hustle and bustle behind, we head to Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, a protected wetland area. Experience the birdlife and capture the view from lookouts and shaded viewing platforms. Overlook the Adelaide river Floodplains from Windows to the Wetlands. Jump aboard a Spectacular Croc Cruise to see these impressive reptiles up close and personal. We then arrive at our final destination, Mary River Wilderness Retreat.

Day 4

Kakadu National Park

Heading into the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park today, we stop at Mamukala Bird hide and overlook the magnificent waterway nestled into the paperbarks, which is home to many species of birdlife. You may even spot a croc or two. On to Ubirr, one of Kakadu's foremost rock art galleries. The paintings here provide a fascinating record of Indigenous life over thousands of years. Look for traditional x-ray art, naturalistic paintings of animals and paintings of early contact with European people. Take a walk through the sandstone outliers at Bardedjilidji Walk before stopping at Cahill's Crossing. This will be an excellent opportunity to watch crocodiles from a safe distance. Before we make our way back to the Park, we stop off at Bowali Information Centre, the home of Marrawuddi Gallery which stocks art and crafts, books and gifts.

Cruise along the Mary River in 'Tom Tough' and spot the resident crocodiles. We finish the day off with a campfire.
