Day 1

Australia Beijing

Welcome to Beijing, the capital city of China. You will be warmly greeted at the airport by a tour representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure. We recommend the following great places: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, all easily accessible by taxi or the convenient public bus.

Day 2

Beijing

Today’s highlight is an excursion to the majestic Great Wall at Juyong Pass, the most famous image of China, and a chance to climb a portion of this 3,700-mile marvel. After lunch, see skilled artisans at work at a cloisonné factory. Tonight, you can choose to attend an optional large scale dramatic musical, The Golden Mask Dynasty (at your own expense).

Day 3

Beijing Delhi Jaipur

Enjoy the morning at leisure. Today you will be transferred to the airport for your onward international flight to Delhi in India. On arrival, our representative will accompany you to the hotel for a comfortable start to your sightseeing experience. Drive through the grand roads of Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate and relish the Central Delhi's glory. Visit Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar followed by a journey to the Pink City- Jaipur. After reaching Jaipur and checking into the hotel, a comfortable overnight stay awaits. Delhi and Jaipur are two of the most bustling areas of travel in India which are laden with excellent shopping, delicious cuisines and glorious history.

Day 4

Jaipur 

Get a brilliant breakfast in Jaipur hotel and head towards exploring this gifted Pink city. After the delightful visit to the grand Amer Fort built by 16th century Rajput Emperor Maharaja Mansingh, the fort is a traveller's delight. Visit the Kali temple which is quite an architectural marvel. Have fun around the busiest streets of Jaipur and also visit the historic monuments Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the grand old city palace. The evening visit is complete with a village exploration of Choki Dhani- an ethnic village resort (optional). Watch the Rajasthani local folks perform for the rustic tunes and dwell in the rich heritage. Have an enjoyable camel, bullock cart and horse ride here. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

Jaipur Agra

Drive to the land of the Taj Mahal, Agra after a phenomenal breakfast in Jaipur's hotel and visit the Jama Masjid, Jodha's Palace and Birbal's Palace en route. After checking in Agra hotel, have a relaxing time and head to Taj Mahal- one of the wonders of the world praised for its architecture. Visit the other known monuments in Agra to get a feel of old times.

Day 6

Agra Delhi Rome

Visit Taj Mahal in the morning and after visiting Agra Fort, Pearl Mosque and Halls of Public and Private Audience. Checkout from Agra hotel later and head back to Delhi airport for your flight to Rome!

Day 7

Rome

Welcome to Rome, and one of our most popular Italy tours! The first day of the tour is an arrival day: meet up with your tour guide at our accommodation in the afternoon and prepare for the tour of a lifetime! If you arrive early, head into the city and see some of the sites that make Rome famous the world over. An ancient city that has seen the rise and fall of entire empires, there is no shortage of historical real estate to feast your eyes on. Not to mention designer shopping and brilliant food. Tonight, you’ll meet the rest of the tour group at our included welcome dinner.

Day 8

Rome

Today we’ll take a guided walking tour of the city, stopping off at the landmarks that have made Rome a perennial favourite with travellers from all over the world. See ancient Roman architecture, medieval buildings, Renaissance artworks and more remnants of Rome’s illustrious past as capital of this incredible country – and of the Roman Empire at large. Be sure to see sightseeing highlights like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon and the countless other attractions that make Rome famous the world over. Later, you’ll have the option of taking a guided walking tour of the Vatican City. Marvel at glittering artworks, vast marble halls and opulent architecture – all part and parcel of the Vatican’s status as the seat of papal power. Eating and drinking well is also an important part of Roman life, and as they say, ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do.’ Try excellent Italian cuisine, and be sure to grab a famous Roman gelato while you’re sight-seeing!

Day 9

Orvieto Venice

Leaving the capital behind, we'll drive through the region of Umbria. Known as the 'fruit bowl of Italy', it is famous for its produce, food and beautiful mountainous landscapes. Prepare for one of the most spectacular sights in Europe as we approach Orvieto, a city perched dramatically atop a sheer vertical volcanic rock. We'll take the funicular up to the historic centre, where you'll have some free time to explore and see the sights, including the exquisite facade of the Cathedral of Orvieto, the papal residence and the Albornoz fortress before we travel on to Venice. You have the evening free to relax at the hotel or explore Venice with the option to join your tour leader on a twilight water taxi cruise of the Venetian canals.

Day 10

Venice

You’ll start your day in Venice with an orientation tour led by your tour leader so you can get your bearings, after which you have free time to explore this unforgettable city at your leisure. Every visit to Venice should include a gondola ride, which your tour leader can organise for you, as well as a trip further out into the lagoon to visit Murano and Burano. These islands are famous for their glass-blowing and lace-making crafts respectively, and rows of beautiful multi-coloured houses. Alternatively, you can simply relax and soak up the sun on the sandy beaches at Jesolo or Lido. There’s also the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge’s Palace to see – and any number of culinary delights to sample too!

Day 11

Lake Garda Florence Tuscany

Today, we make our way to the beautiful city of Florence, stopping along the way in Lake Garda for a photo opportunity. On arrival in Florence, your tour leader will take you on an orientation tour to learn more about the heritage of this city, which stretches back through the ages to encompass Renaissance artworks and Roman ruins. Sights to see in your free time include Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Florence Cathedral, the Basilica of Santa Croce and of course Michelangelo’s David. A cultural and political focal point during the Renaissance, Florence is endowed with a huge variety of important buildings and famous artworks. We’ll then make our way to our accommodation in Tuscany.

Day 12

Cinque Terre Pisa Tuscany 

This morning we head to La Spezia, the gateway to the Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre literally means ‘Five Lands’ and consists of five picturesque coastal cliff-side towns linked by rail and footpath - Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. With cars and motorcycles banned from the towns, you’ll have a wonderful time exploring the towns by train or on foot. Later in the afternoon, we'll head back to the Tuscan region, stopping off in Pisa to see the legendary Leaning Tower of Pisa. Now over 800 years old, it’s a classic sight in Italy and gives you the opportunity to take a picture 'holding up' the tower!

Day 13

San Gimignano Siena Rome

This morning we make our way through one of the world’s most picturesque countryside landscapes, admiring Tuscan farmhouses, vineyards and olive groves as we drive by. Our first stop of the day will be in San Gimignano, a small walled hill town. Known as the 'Town of Fine Towers', it offers beautiful Romanesque and Gothic architecture and 12 well-preserved tower houses. We'll then make the short drive to Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the 'Palio' horse race held twice a year in the main piazza, or public square. We'll enjoy a wine tasting accompanied with antipasto before we head back to Rome and round the off the day with a farewell dinner together on our last night of the tour.

Day 14

Rome Cairo

After breakfast, say Arrivederci Italia and hop on your flight to Cairo! Arrive at Cairo airport, where our representative will be waiting for you. Then, you will be transferred by an A/C car to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 15

Cairo

After breakfast this morning, the tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to enjoy an excursion to The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates back to the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. After, head over to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. Next, make your way to Memphis, which was founded by King Menes and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. It was considered to be a centre of rule and culture for over 3000 years. (Optional) Evening trip to attend the Sound & Light show at the Pyramids area. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 16

Cairo

Today, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays over 250,000 overwhelming artefacts, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewellery which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. Then proceed to visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque and Citadel of Salah El-Din. Head to Old Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and Synagogue before heading back to the hotel.

(Optional) Evening trip to enjoy your dinner on board a Nile cruise for 2 hours including watching Egyptian folk shows. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 17

Cairo Amman

Breakfast at the hotel and make your way to the airport for your flight to Amman! Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan! (Ahlan Wa Sahlan) You have now arrived at Queen Alia International Airport, the main and largest airport in Jordan. Our representative welcomes you with a signage at the immigration and will assist you for your free visa. After this, transfer to your hotel in Amman. En route, you will see the mountainous capital. Amman is a fascinating city of contrasts with a unique blend of old and new, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. Upon arrival at your hotel in Amman, check-in and enjoy a night of rest in this beautiful city.

Day 18

Amman Petra 

This morning, you will make your way to the “Red Rose City”, Petra. You will have a stopover for 15 minutes along the highway and then continue the drive after. This tour will involve a fair bit of walking with a duration of approx. four hours. Upon arrival, a local guide will meet you at the Petra visitor centre. Petra is the biggest attraction of Jordan and was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Walkthrough the canyon or so-called Siq to see the most beautiful monument: The Treasury Building rising over 140 feet and continue via the Street Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharoah’s Castle. After this, you will have free time to explore on your own. After visiting the sites head back to your hotel in Petra.

Day 19

Petra Jerash Amman

Today, visit the ancient city of Jerash. Upon arrival, you will be met by a local guide at the monumental Southgate who will accompany you during your visit to the spectacular forum, Roman Colonnaded, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Jerash is the best example of a Roman provincial city in the Middle East. Enjoy some free time to explore this magnificent area yourself before driving back to your hotel in Amman.

Day 20

Amman Lima

Our driver will pick you up at the Wadi Rum Village and drive you to the airport for your flight to Lima today!

On arrival in Lima, transfer to your hotel and rest up for the next leg of your tour!

Day 22

Lima Cusco

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco!  Once you arrive in Cusco, make your way to the hotel and enjoy an afternoon tour of the city including the best of Cusco: the Koricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun) and the Cathedral with its magnificent chapels and baroque altars and paintings from the Cusquena School. The tour also includes the surrounding ruins: the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Inca bath of Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the amphitheatre of Kenko.

Day 23

Cusco Urubamba Cusco

Today, head off on a full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Private services). Visit Maras, the principal salt production centre since Inca times, extraordinary spectacle of the terraced white salt mines. At a short distance, towards the west are the circular terraces of Moray built by the Incas in order to create different microclimates for agricultural purposes. Buffet lunch included in a local restaurant Continue to the north to visit Ollantaytambo, a fortress built during the Inca Empire, an excellent sample of military architecture. Then, visit the village of Pisac and attend the local agricultural open-market where artisans from all over the area congregate to sell their crafts. Return to Cusco and rest up for the next day of your adventure!

Day 24

Cusco Machu Picchu Cusco 

This morning, hop on an early transfer to the train station and travel across the Andes to Aguas Calientes at the foot of the mountains. Once you arrive, head over to the entrance of the ruins where the guided tour of the Lost City will start. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge restaurant and then take a train back to Poroy train station. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for the night.

Day 25

Cusco Lima Rio de Janeiro 

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima. On arrival in Lima, connect for your onward flight to Rio de Janeiro. Touchdown in this incredible city and transfer to your hotel for the night!

Day 26

Rio de Janeiro

Enjoy today at leisure to explore Rio de Janeiro on your own. Tonight, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager on the exciting adventure that awaits you in South America, followed by a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travellers at a typical Brazilian 'Churrascaria'

Day 27

Rio de Janeiro - Corcovado Mountain

Begin the day with an ascent by a scenic cog railway to the summit of Corcovado Hill. Here, at 2,400 feet above the city stands the 125-foot tall statue of Christ the Redeemer. The Christ statue, that embraces the entire city, is designated as one of the seven "New Wonders of the World". See the thrilling 360-degree sweeping views of the city and understand why Rio is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Afterwards, continue along Rio's famous beaches, including Copacabana and Ipanema before returning to your hotel

Day 28

Rio de Janeiro 

Today is at leisure to discover all of the delights of Rio on your own. Watch the volleyball and soccer matches on the beach, shop for local crafts, and linger at a waterfront café to just "people-watch". Join the optional not-to-be-missed glass cable car ride that takes you to the top of iconic SugarLoaf Mountain, a symbol of the city, where you'll see the stunning panorama of the beaches, Corcovado Mountain, downtown Rio and Guanabara Bay. In the afternoon attend the optional Carnival and Samba Experience. Visit one of the top Samba schools in the city and learn what made the Samba & Carnival icons of Brazilian national identity. On your last night in Rio at leisure, be sure to sample the cuisine at some of the fabulous restaurants and cafes ringing the beachfront
