Enchantment of the Seas

Enchantment of the Seas entered service in 1997, was refitted in 2017, and at 82,910 GT carries 2252 passengers. Enchantment of the Seas features about 8000 square metres of glass, her soaring seven-deck atrium, sculptures and artwork, and Royal Caribbean's signature Viking Crown Lounge atop the ship offering 180 degree views of the seascape. The ship is family-friendly, with large facilities for children and teens, and features wi-fi throughout.

Day 1

Australia Calgary, Canada

Welcome to Canada! Upon arrival, please make your own way to the hotel and check in.

Accommodation: Country Inn & Suites Calgary Airport, Rivera Plaza Hotel or similar Calgary, Alberta

 

Day 2

Calgary - Lake Louise - Banff

Your adventure begins with an 8am meet and greet at the hotel lobby. Then make your way out of Calgary and prepare yourself for one of the highlights of your journey, Canada’s 'Diamond in

the Wilderness', the gorgeous Lake Louise.

Spend time relaxing and exploring the surrounds of this iconic and beautiful area. Take a walk around the edge of the lake and gaze at the towering mountains or venture inside the phenomenal Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Hotel.

Return to Banff and enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls.

Day 3

Icefield Parkway - Icefield Snowcoach

This morning drive along the famous Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) and Jasper National Parks from Canmore north towards the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre (approx. 2.5 hours each

way). Considered the most beautiful drive in the world, the jaw-dropping scenery is punctuated by more than 100 ancient glaciers, waterfalls cascading from dramatic rock sprees and turquoise lakes set in sweeping valleys. Views of Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Summit, Mistaya Canyon are sure to please all who journey to this amazing part of the world.

Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre take an opportunity to ride on the specially designed 'Ice Explorer' (optional payable on tour) which takes you onto the surface of the stunning Columbia Glacier.

Please note that Icefield Snowcoach is subject to favourable weather conditions and if it’s closed, you will have free time to explore Banff and take a chance to enjoy the famous Banff Gondola (not included).

Day 4

National Parks - Chilliwack/Abbotsford

Journey through three of Canada’s most breathtaking National Parks: Mount Revelstoke, Glacier and Yoho.

On the way stop at the Eagle Pass and visit the 'Last Spike' of the transcontinental railway where it connects the east and the west.

You’ll then finish your journey in Chilliwack/Abbotsford.

Day 5

Vancouver - Begin 7 night Royal Caribbean Alaska Glacier Cruise (Departs at 5pm)

Proceed to Vancouver and enjoy a sightseeing tour including Gastown, designated a National Historic Site in 2009.

Then visit the old Chinatown, and admire the famous collection of totem poles at Stanley Park, before transferring to Canada Place to board your 7-night Alaska cruise onboard Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas.

Day 6

Day 6 Inside Passage, Canada - Cruising

Get ready for amazing views and wildlife like nowhere else as you sail through the islands of Alaska's Inside Passage.

Home to diverse wildlife - orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and more, the complex labyrinth of fjords and bays are where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months.

You'll never forget the sight of 40-ton whales hurling themselves into the air, almost completely escaping the water. If you're especially lucky, you could see them swimming together to create a bubble net, trapping and eating fish by the giant mouthful.

Day 7

Sitka, Alaska, USA (9am - 6pm)

Sitka truly offers the best of Alaska. Its small-town appeal stems from a unique blend of Russian, Tlingit and American history. Its snow-capped peaks and volcanic Mount Edgecumbe pose amongst the state’s most postcard-worthy scenes.

Its rare wildlife astounds, from Saint Lazaria Island’s orange-beaked puffins to Alaska Maritime Refuge’s 40 million seabirds.

This is off-the-beaten-track Alaska, where you can kayak Sitka Sound alongside swimming sea otters or fly-fish for the world’s biggest halibut.

Whether it’s hiking along Baranof Island trails or listening to tribal stories passed down for generations, in Sitka the midnight sun never sets on adventure.

Day 8

Juneau, Alaska, USA (7am - 9pm)

You can’t get to Juneau easily without a sprint by air or by sea. But once you arrive you’ll find majestic views and rich culture in every corner.

With its snowcapped mountains, misty rainforests, massive glaciers and bounty of wildlife, Alaska’s remote state capital is the perfect place to dive into nature.

Framed by Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts, the city’s picturesque central area offers centuries-old bars, boutique shops and historical landmarks.

For a taste of the local culture, visit the historic district and the Alaska State Museum. And for outdoor thrills, you can take your pick of activities ranging from whale watching in Auke Bay Harbour to tundra trekking over Mendenhall Glacier, and even try your hand at gold panning in Last Chance Basin.

Skagway, Alaska, USA 7am - 5pm
Haines, Alaska, USA 7pm-11.30pm

The tiny town of Skagway still looks like it did during the Klondike Gold Rush over 100 years ago – and today it remains an outpost for thrilling Alaskan adventure. An old-time tram ride along bustling Broadway Street reveals well-preserved buildings, including the state’s oldest hotel. You can see engraved walrus tusks at the Corrington Museum, or get lost in riveting historical re-enactments around town.

If outdoor adventure is more your thing, there are plenty of ways to ramp up the adrenaline, from sledding with Alaskan Huskies on Laughton Glacier to rafting on Lynn Canal, the longest fjord in North America.

If you’re looking for an authentic taste of wild, rugged adventure, a cruise to Haines, Alaska is just the ticket.

Located less than 70 miles north of Juneau, along the continent’s longest and deepest fjord, Haines offers endless outdoor activities for intrepid explorers.

Hike deep into misty coastal rainforests and ancient spruce woodlands. Set out on a rafting adventure along the rivers that thread the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska, USA (7am - 10am)

Tracy Arm Fjord extends over 30 miles alongside the wilderness of Tongass National Forest. Sailing through this deep and narrow passage delivers some of the most breathtaking scenery you’ll find in Alaska.

See active glaciers carved into 7,000-foot-tall mountain peaks and plunging waterfalls burrowed into evergreen-clad cliffs. Glimpse native wildlife and watch deep blue icebergs float past the ship.
