Day 1

Depart Australia

Fly from Australia to Honolulu, Hawaii. Then connect with your overnight flight from Honolulu directly Anchorage, Alaska.

Day 2

Fairbanks

Arrive Anchorage Alaska and then continue on to Fairbanks by flights. Arrive in Fairbanks, known as the Golden Heart City and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day is free. This evening enjoy a Northern Lights Tour.  Witness the magical phenomenon of the Northern Lights from inside a warm lodge located far from city lights. An informative guide explains the science behind the dancing lights streaming across the night sky. Bring along your camera and capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hotel transport from Fairbanks included.

What to Expect
You'll be picked up from your Fairbanks hotel and driven to one of the best viewing lodges in the Fairbanks area. The lodge is carefully selected to ensure that guests can gaze upon the Northern Lights with ease. Outside of Fairbanks and away from the city lights, these wide-open areas ensure a perfect way to take in Alaska's winter sky.

Day 3

Northern Lights Tour

Free day in Fairbanks. At 65 degrees north latitude, the sky takes on a capricious life of its own—a canvas for the aurora borealis, the midnight sun and sunsets and sunrises that last forever. Here there are serious mountain ranges, pristine rivers and lakes, abundant wildlife and a certain poignant solitude that is found nowhere else on earth. Locals embrace the natural world and have created a vibrant river city in the far north. Where else can you travel to such a remote locale and still enjoy all the amenities of a charming downtown, a thriving arts community, rich Alaska Native culture, authentic Alaskan activities and attractions and endless opportunities for exploration? This evening, embark on your quest for the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) viewing and enjoy a warm non-alcoholic beverage.

Day 4

Fairbanks

Today, take a city tour of Fairbanks including a visit to the Morris Thompson Cultural Center, featuring exhibits about Alaska's people, wildlife and landscapes. Continue to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Viewpoint to get a close-up look at this engineering marvel.

Afternoon is at leisure or, choose from several optional tours, such as dog mushing tours, Arctic Circle flightseeing and many others. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner and Drink before you head out for another chance to search the skies for the Northern Lights at a different location

Day 5

Denali National Park

Embark on a scenic drive south to Denali National Park. En route, visit the town of Nenana, home of the Nenana Ice Classic! Upon arrival into Denali, tour the Murie Science and Learning Center which acts as the Denali Visitor’s Center in the wintertime. Watch the National Park Film, “Heartbeats of Denali”, hear from a local ranger about the park, and even have a chance to snowshoe!

Day 6

Anchorage

This morning, transfer to Healy. Board the world-famous Alaska Railroad for your scenic journey south to the community of Talkeetna, believed to be the inspiration for the fictional community of Cicely in the TV show “Northern Exposure”. Afterward, travel by bus to Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. Keep an eye out for views of majestic Denali, weather permitting. Upon arrival in Anchorage, transfer to your hotel.

Day 7

Anchorage

Begin the day with a city tour of Anchorage featuring the historic downtown area, Lake Hood, where over 190 floatplanes takeoff and land daily. Continue to Earthquake Park and learn about the 1964 earthquake. Afterward, travel along the scenic Seward Highway and stop for a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center* where you will have a chance to see Alaska’s wildlife up-close. Travel to the resort town of Girdwood, nestled at the base of Mt. Alyeska. Take a scenic tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska and marvel at the stunning views of Cook Inlet. Return to Anchorage in the early evening. Tonight, join your Tour Manager and newfound friends for a Dinner and share wonderful memories of your adventure in Alaska.

Day 8

Anchorage

The exploration of Anchorage begins in the vibrant downtown area and its history. View the monument to President Eisenhower commemorating Alaska’s admission to the Union in 1959. Visit Anchorage The Anchorage Museum is a large art, history, ethnography, ecology and science museum located in a modern building in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska. It is dedicated to studying and exploring the land, peoples, art and history of Alaska musuem Continue to the Alaska Native Heritage Center to see how humans survived before central heating. In addition to exhibits in the main house, outside you walk around authentic structures from the Aleut, Yupik, Tlingit and other tribes arranged around a picturesque lake.

Day 9

Fly to Honolulu

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Honolulu. Upon arrival in Hawaii, transfer to your hotel and enjoy time at leisure.

Day 10

Honolulu

Today is a free to day to relax by the beach in Honolulu.  High-rise hotels line the shore of the white sands of Waikiki Beach, This is  vibrant neighborhood known for its popular surf beach. Designer fashion stores line Kalakaua Avenue and nearby streets, and the area buzzes after dark with waterside cocktail bars, fine dining and Kuhio Beach hula shows. Honolulu Zoo is home to Komodo dragons and wandering peacocks, while parrotfish and urchins inhabit Waikiki Aquarium’s reef exhibit.
