Day 2

Zurich

Welcome to Zurich! Upon arrival, your driver will welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel. The driver will provide you with all the local information about the area you will be staying at and how to get around to the historic city centre. You can leave your baggage with concierge whilst you can spend the rest of the morning and afternoon exploring the local area before check-in (Normal check-in time is 3 pm).  Free at leisure for the day.

Day 3

Rapperswil Day Trip

A morning visit with our guide to stroll in the most populated city of Switzerland, the financial and cultural capital of the country. The city of banks has twice been declared the city with the best quality of life in the world. Mid-morning you will enjoy an unforgettable boat cruise along the Lake Zurich, taking the journey from Zurich to Rapperswil (approx. 2hours). The boat makes brief stops, allowing us to admire the villages on the way. You will stop at the eastern end of the lake is the “Rose Town” of Rapperswil, the picturesque village overlooked by its medieval castle. After lunch, you will return to Zurich by train and will see the efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss Railways. Enjoy your evening meal (own expense) in the historic centre next to the lake. The approximate distance travelled today is 40km.

Day 4

Interlaken, Grindelwald and Lucerne Day Trip

Start the day with a hot breakfast whereby today’s stage with beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes. On a clear day, you may able to see Jungfrau from the city centre. Take a stroll along Interlaken and follow to Grindelwald, also known as “Glacier Village”. Enjoy a quick coffee break before taking an unforgettable cable car ride (ticket included) to the Grindelwald First and walk half an hour along the “footbridge over the emptiness” whilst absorbing the fantastic scenery of glaciers around us. We will have lunch (included) before continuing to Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. You will then at leisure to explore and dine the city centre of Zurich (own expense) before heading back to the hotel. The approximate distance travelled today is 280km.

Day 5

Burglen, Lugano, Morcote and Milan

Travelling to Burglen, the tiny village where William Tell was born, we shall see the XVI century chapel with paintings illustrating this legend’s life. Continue to Lugano, an Italian-speaking cosmopolitan city in Switzerland with its beautiful lake. Stop by the enchanting little town of Morcote, with its houses made of stone, and covered with flowers. Time to stroll and will have lunch at the COMO, on the shores of the lake, a bustling Italian town with an outstanding Gothic cathedral and life.

Arrival in Milan where your guide will take you to the impressive Duomo Square. Enjoy your dinner at the Porta Venezia (Port of Venice) where a variety of food restaurants available from serving Swiss and Italian food, to French, Chinese and international food (own expense). Transfer back to the hotel around 8 pm. The approximate distance travelled today is 310km.

Day 6

Pisa and Rome

Leave Milan the Italian financial capital for Pisa. Today we will travel to the Piazza Dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) on a little tourist train where there will be time to admire one of the most fascinating and beautiful art complexes in Italy, including the well-known Leaning Tower of Pisa. After lunch continues your journey, arriving in Rome at the end of the afternoon. The approximate distance travelled today is 640km.

Day 7

Rome

Get ready to explore some of the richest histories in the world today with a scenic tour of the “The Eternal City”. We will visit the tiny state of the Vatican. Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit the famous St Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums (own expense). Visit the incredible ruins of the Roman Coliseum (admission included), the principal symbol of Rome. This impressive construction dates back to 2000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening, a transfer service will be provided to Via Cavour area, here you will find restaurants serving different cuisines (own expense). Return to hotel around 9 pm.

Baroque Rome for EUR35 per person - This excursion is essential to complete your stay in Rome. You can enjoy the great Rome of Bernini and Borromini, the great baroque Rome with its beautiful fountains, squares and obelisks. That Rome that the Popes created. We will make a complete tour knowing: Lungotevere, Ara Pacis, Porta Pinciana, Via Veneto, Plaza de España with its wonderful fountain of the boat and its staircase Trinidad de los Montes, Fontana di Trevi where you can fulfil the rite of throwing your coin, Piazza Colona, Pantheon, possibly the best preserved archaeological temple of ancient Rome and we will finish in the extraordinary Piazza Navona. An important part of this excursion is done on foot, enjoying the centre and heart of Rome.

Vatican Museums for EUR45 per person - Please note that on Sundays the Vatican Museums are frequently closed. We have organised a visit for those travellers who are more interested, accompanied by our expert guide majored in Fine Arts. We will visit the most outstanding rooms in the Vatican Museums: the gallery of tapestries, sculptures, paintings and other rooms where we will have the chance to see some of the most important works of art from classical antiquity and the Renaissance. The highlight will be a visit to the Sistine Chapel, stunning after a recent restoration. We will finally visit the Basilica where we will admire the Pietà by Michelangelo, St. Peter’s Baldachin, and Michelangelo’s dome.

Day 8

Rome Florence

A beautiful scenic drive in the morning to Florence. Upon arrival, you will visit the most famous lookouts for a stunning view of Florence - Piazzale Michelangelo. Then followed by a city tour in Florence before Lunch. In the evening, enjoy an orientation tour with a local expert and walk through the historic centre and attractions including the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. You will have some free time to explore on your own and have dinner (own expense) at your favourite restaurant. The approximate distance travelled today is 320km.

Tuscan Dinner for EUR60 per person - Enjoy a delightful dinner immersed in the atmosphere of Tuscany. During the dinner, a group of musicians will provide ambience to this charming soirée. We will taste typical products from the region. Do you feel like savouring an extraordinary bistecca fiorentina? During dinner, we will also enjoy live music. A Florentine pianist-singer will perform national and international musical pieces. You will have a chance to sing and dance!!!

Day 9

Florence to Venice

After breakfast, we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes whilst crossing the Apennine Mountains to Venice. Arriving in Venice prepare to be awestruck this afternoon with an incredible adventure through the beautiful city canals on a local water bus (Vaporetto). A comprehensive tour with a local guide to see the architectural marvels of Plaza de San Marcos and enter the marvellous Basilica (admission included) and enjoy a demonstration of Murano crystal blowing at the Murano glass factory. Relax this afternoon to explore the city on your own. You will have the chance to choose the type of restaurant that you prefer in the Mestre area (own expense). Arrive into port at about 11 am and depart at approximately 7 pm.

Set between Cobalt Seas and the rugged Dinaric Alps, Dubrovnik is a medieval delight. Behind the thick defensive walls of its Old Town, discover lively promenades and narrow lanes lined with churches, monasteries, shops and cafés.

Mediterranean Cruise (Kotor)

Arrive into port at about 7 am and depart at approximately 5 pm. Located where the Balkans meet the Adriatic, Kotor in Montenegro sits on a deep bay surrounded by soaring cliffs. A hilltop fortress stands guard over the walled medieval Old Town, where you’ll find small piazzas, elegant palazzos, lively cafés and shops.
