This cruise and land package is the perfect way to explore the numerous cultures, people, and food of Southern Europe.

Your trip will begin with a flight to Rome where you'll have a few days to experience the city and its abundance of sights, museums, and food before continuing to iconic Italian spots like Florence and Genoa. From there, you will make your way to breathtaking Northern Italy stopping in the town of Verona (home of Romeo & Juliet's famous balcony) and the fashion capital of Milan. Once in Venice, soak in the beauty of the canals and plethora of cozy street cafes before boarding the MSC Sinfonia.

Your MSC cruise will dock in sunny European hotspots of Split, Dubrovnik, Santorini, and Mykonos before reaching the final port of Ancona. Your home on the sea offers plenty of entertainment and amenities to relax and enjoy the highlights of Southern Europe in style.

Day 1

Day 2

Rome

Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival, a private transfer will be provided. Your driver will be waiting for you at arrival hall to take you to your hotel and provide all the local information of the area you will be staying at and how to get around to the historic city centre. Please note that hotel check-in is from 3 pm.

Day 3

Rome

Experience some of the richest history in the world today with a scenic tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to the “The Eternal City”. We will visit the tiny state of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world.

You will be able to visit the famous St Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums (own expense). In the evening, a transfer will be provided to Trastevere district; a vibrant district for you to explore the magical city. You will have the chance to try out some typical Italian dinner (own expense) before returning to the hotel.

Rome

Day 5

Florence

A beautiful scenic drive in the morning to Florence. Upon arrival, you will visit the most famous lookouts for a stunning view of Florence - the Piazzale Michelangelo. Then followed by a city tour in Florence before Lunch. In the evening, enjoy an orientation tour with a local expert and walk through the historic centre and attractions including the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. You will have some free time to explore on you own and have dinner (own expense) at your favourite restaurant.

Day 6

Genoa

Today’s journey takes you to the ever so popular Leaning Tower of Pisa. You will board a little train from the tourist parking to the Field of Miracles for you to capture countless photos of the tower. Shortly afterwards you will visit some picturesque coastlines on the way to Ligurian Coast.

Stopping by Cinque Terre declared a Unesco World Heritage it comprises of five villages which to this day survives on fishing and tourism. You will travel by train^ including a ticket to Vernazza with its impressive church of Santa Margarita built in 1318 overlooking the sea.

After lunch you will go by train to Levanto where our coach waits to take you to Genoa.

^Note: The train ride to Cinque Terre is a regular local railway service whereby sometimes the trains are full (it is not possible to book places on these trains) and sometimes it may be necessary to travel standing and not seated.

Day 7

Milan

You will travel to the nearby city of Santa Margarita Ligure where you will embark for Portofino once of the most exclusive places in Europe for free time. After lunch, you will head to Milan, the home of the famous Duomo di Milano and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II the oldest shopping complex in the world.
Note: During the winter months sometimes the boat to Portofino will not be operating in which you case you will transferred by urban microbus (quality of service is not great and sometimes has long waits)

Day 8

Verona

This morning you will see one of the most beautiful scenic areas of Europe, the region of the Italian lakes. Firstly you will travel to Lake Orta in Orta De San Giulio where there’s a preserved mediaeval city intact. Included is a train ride to reach the centre of the medieval town and then a boat ride to the Island of San Giulio, a little island on the lake with a monastery. The second stop is Lake Maggiore where you will stop in Stressa where if you want can optionally visit the Borromeas Islands and especially Isola Bella with its gardens and palace. Time for lunch then you will continue to Verona.

Note: Isola Bella gardens and palace are closed in the winter seasons.

Day 9

Venice

After breakfast, we will have time to see the city of Romeo and Juliet before leaving for Venice. Arriving in Venice around 1:00 p.m. Prepare to be awestruck this afternoon with an incredible adventure through the beautiful city canals on a local water bus (Vaporetto). The tour begins at one of the most famous landmarks in Venice - St.Mark’s Square, where you’ll admire ancient buildings, imposing monuments and historic cafes. Then, discover the island’s claim to fame – Murano glass – as you visit a glass factory, enjoy a traditional glass-blowing demonstration, and perhaps purchase some exquisite hand-made souvenirs. Afterwards, free time as you wish, why not hop aboard a traditional gondola for a romantic cruise along the Grand Canal?

Day 10

Mediterranean Cruise (departure)

Free at leisure in the morning!

Be ready and meet your group in hotel lobby at 12pm midday for the transfer to Venice Cruise Port to board the ‘MSC Sinfonia’, your home for the next 7 nights. The cruise will depart at about 4.30pm.

Day 11

Mediterranean Cruise (Split)

Arrive into port at approximately 7 am, depart at around 5 pm.

With its seafront cafés and ancient alleyways, shouting stallholders and travellers on the move, bustling, exuberant Split is one of Croatia’s and the Mediterranean’s most compelling cities, it’s easy to see this feeling when you step aground from your MSC

Cruise.

Day 13

Mediterranean Cruise (Santorini)

Arrive into port at approximately 7am, depart at around 3pm.

You can’t say you have been to Greece on holiday without seeing the natural wonder of Santoríni. As our MSC cruise ship manoeuvres into the great caldera of Santoríni (Thíra), the land seems to rise up and clamp around it.

Arrival into port at Mykonos at approximately 8pm.

Mýkonos is the quintessential image of the Cyclades. In summer most people head out to the beaches during the day, so early morning or late afternoon are the best times to wander the maze of narrow streets.

Arrive into port at approximately 10am, depart at around 6pm

Day 17

Venice

This morning dock at 8:00am in Venice. Bid a fond farewell to this breathtaking cruise as your memorable holiday comes to an end. Transfer from the cruise port to the airport for your flight home.
